Why we need a new building

We love our building. It is a quaint yet majestic old Lutheran structure, with a domed ceiling and many windows that create a bright and warm worship space. God has worked powerful at 530 Osage for a long time, and we are incredibly thankful to the Lord as our church grows year after year through salvations, babies being born, and new members joining us. But as we continue to grow it becomes more obvious every week, that we cannot continue to meet in this building for the long term. The space is too small. We would love to be able to have a potluck after church, weddings, and funerals but these things are not very realistic with our current space limitations. Beyond that, even if we didn't have a single new family join our church for the next 3 years, we would need more space just for the children that God has been blessing us with! We are running multiple services, but it would be wonderful if we could all meet together as one church to worship the Lord.

Pro 22:3 ESV - The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it.

At this point it would be unwise to not start fundraising as we look forward to continued growth.

Why 2800 Pillsbury Dr?

A church building has recently come on the market in Manhattan at 2800 Pillsbury Dr. we believe that it is a wise building for us to pursue for a few reasons: 1. It is move in ready, the church would be ready for use from the first day that we bought it. 2. It is large, our current space has about 1000 square feet of usable space in the sanctuary and another 1000 in the basement, the new building would have 10,000 square feet of space downstairs, and another 6,500 upstairs. This building represents a long term solution. 3. Affordability, to purchase the 3 acres of land and to build a building like what is there would probably cost us 3-4 times what the owners of the building are asking for. Buildings like this don't come up for sale often in Manhattan. Again, it seems unwise to not at least try to obtain this property.

What we need

We need God to provide the funds for us and so we are asking you to please pray for us. We know that God is able to make all grace abound to us, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, we may abound in every good work.

We also need outside support, so we are asking you to give to this project. We have been saving for a few years and have some money put aside, but we still need to raise another 500,000 dollars to be able to responsibly afford this building.

As many of you know, we are a young church. We have many couples that are in their 20's and many college students, this is a wonderful thing in a day when many young people turn away from the faith and we are confident that Vintage will continue to grow. But having a young church also means that many familie's income has not matured to the point that they are able to give large sums to help us with this project and we only expect the building to be available until around august 2026, before it is purchased.

If you would like to give, thank you!! You can go over to our giving page, and click the future facilities fund to give a tax deductible gift directly to this project.

2Co 8:9 ESV - For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.
